Deborah Hart MN NP is known for her and her clinical team’s dedication to providing excellence in medical aesthetic treatments, natural and ethical approaches to positive aging and beauty. Deborah NP is the first Board Certified Medical Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner in Canada, she is actively involved in education, training Nurses and Physicians in the specialty of Medical Aesthetics as faculty for the Atlantic Training Institute for Medical Aesthetics and faculty and expert panelist for the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine. Deborah is also involved in the advanced education of Registered Nurses at Athabasca University in the Graduate Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program.

She is an internationally recognized provider of Advanced Medical Aesthetics, as well as women’s and men’s intimate health.

A sought-after expert she is an Accreditation Program reviewer for Medical Aesthetics programs seeking certification and accreditation with the Canadian Nurses Association, and a speaker, presenter, and editor for National and International Associations. She is a recognized member of the International Cellular Medicine Association, International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses, Canadian Society of Aesthetic Specialty Nurses, the Canadian Association of Medical Spas & Aesthetic Surgeons, the Honors society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau and the Dermatology Association of Nurse Practitioners.

A past board member for the Canadian Association of Medical Aesthetics, she has also Chaired the Nurse Practitioner Association of Nova Scotia, sat on the council for the Nurse Practitioner Association of Canada and the Provincial Nursing Network Nova Scotia. She has worked closely with The College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia to ensure competency, obtain the first licensures to practice medical aesthetics and sclerotherapy in NS in addition to her Primary Health Care/Family Practice and remains involved in regulatory guidelines for nurses practicing in this specialty field.

Deborah received her Master’s in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dalhousie University. She holds a Bachelor of Science from St. Mary’s University. As a Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, and Medical Assistant she has experience in a variety of settings including Medical Aesthetics, Pre & Post Surgical care, Cardiology, Remote Northern Nursing, The Department of National Defense, and has specialized for more than 10 years in Emergency and Trauma Care. Deborah has over 25 years of experience delivering healthcare and education in Canada and abroad. She continues to extensively engage in advanced education in Medical Aesthetics ensuring her patients and staff are always at the forefront of this specialty. Tara has had a passion for skincare for as long as she can remember, so much so, that she made a career out of it! During her career spanning the last 26 years, she has worked in all facets of the industry. Tara is a certified master esthetician, Instructor and makeup artist, who has worked in the treatment room, in sales management, spa management and education. Her career education started at the Academy of Cosmetology with a diploma in esthetics, followed by a degree in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary’s University. She has attended several advanced certification courses in Clinical Esthetics, Laser technology, Microneedling, Dermaplaning, advanced skincare, and chemical peels. After many years working with other clinics to improve their education, customer service, and bottom line, she is excited and committed to offering exceptional service and outstanding results to the clients of First Impressions.

Laura is a certified cosmetic nurse injector in our Bedford location of First Impressions Rejuvenation Clinic. She started her career as a Registered Nurse and has over nine years of experience in acute medical, surgical, and oncology care. Laura has in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy and experience in cosmetic injectables such as neuromodulators and hyaluronic acid fillers. In addition, Laura is also excited to be able to offer other services including platelet-rich plasma therapy, permanent fat reduction, laser treatments, and numerous other skincare treatments. Laura’s main goal is to boost your self-confidence and help you to feel like the best version of yourself by offering individualized treatment plans focusing on natural, beautiful results.

Samantha has been a registered nurse for 4 years now.  She started her career in orthopedic trauma at the Halifax Infirmary and continues her nursing experience at the IWK in Paediatric oncology, hematology and nephrology. Samantha studied medical aesthetics with THMA Consulting and can’t wait to continue her education and grow her career in medical aesthetics with First Impressions.  She has always had a passion for skincare and is excited to deliver safe, natural results to all her cosmetic patients.
