What can I expect during the treatment?
When you first arrive, we will apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment area. Once the topical cream takes effect, we will begin the treatment which consists of rolling the Halo handpiece in a crisscross pattern on different sections of the face. You will feel minimal to no discomfort during the treatment.
What can I expect after the treatment?
Your downtime will be dependent on the intensity of your treatment. More aggressive treatments will result in a longer period of recovery. Swelling, redness, and a warm feeling on the skin can last up to 24 hours post-treatment. Patients compare it to having a sunburn. After the treatment your skin will begin to peel and that can last 5-7 days depending on the depth of your treatment as well.
When will I see results?
You will see initial results between days 2 and 5 after your Halo treatment, but your skin will continue to improve over time. Most patients see the greatest improvement in the first 2 to 3 weeks. Results of the Halo treatment can last for years to come as long you continue to keep your new, healthy skin protected at all times using sunscreen.
