How It Works

What to Expect from Laser Hair Removal Treatment?

On the day of your treatment, you should avoid using any lotions, perfumes, makeup, or creams on your skin.
When you arrive for treatment, you’ll be taken to a luxurious patient room. Depending on your treatment area, you may be asked to undress to expose the area. You will be asked to wear a special set of protective goggles to shield your eyes from the laser. Next, the laser equipment will be adjusted according to the color, thickness, and location of your hair being treated as well as your skin color.
You may feel a warm sensation followed by a cooling sensation from the sapphire plate. The procedure shouldn’t be painful. Best of all, laser hair removal aftercare is minimal. Common side effects include minor skin irritation, redness, or swelling, which disappears a few hours after treatment.
A change in skin color has also been reported as laser hair removal can potentially darken or lighten the skin of the treatment area. This typically occurs in individuals who do not avoid sun exposure before or after treatment.
Patients who are pregnant, who have serious skin conditions, or who may have skin infections around the treatment area are not considered good candidates for laser hair removal.
Serious risks are rare but may include blistering, scarring, or change to skin texture. Laser hair removal is not recommended for eyebrows or eyelids due to the proximity of the laser to the eye.
